​1. In order to eligible for Panhellenic Recruitment, a Potential New Member (PNM) must be a full-time undergraduate woman at Yale and may not be or have ever been an initiated member of a National Panhellenic Conference group.

2. A PNM must attend all recruitment events to which she has received an invitation. In the case of illness or emergency, she must notify the Panhellenic Council immediately.

​

3. A PNM invited to two or more preference day events must attend both events. Potential New Members invited to three preference day events may only attend two events.

​

4. No PNM may visit a sorority member in her place of residence or the chapter facility at any time during recruitment. Similarly, no sorority member may visit a PNM in her place of residence during recruitment.

5. Be aware that all sorority members participating in recruitment will be prohibited from communicating with potential new members outside of recruitment events beginning on January 20th until after bids are given. If communication is necessary, it must be kept to a minimum and may not pertain to recruitment.  Please do not initiate or respond to any online communications, including facebook friend requests, with sorority members.

6. Sorority members may not buy anything for a PNM, including favors, gifts, and so forth.

7. No sorority or sorority member shall promise bids to a PNM, either directly or indirectly, orally or in writing.

8. A Membership Recruitment Acceptance Binding Agreement should be signed immediately after the last recruitment event. It is a binding contract and once signed, no changes can be made.

9. Women who indicate an Intentional Single Preference on the Membership Recruitment Acceptance Binding Agreement do not guarantee a higher chance of receiving a bid from that organization. If she does not receive an invitation to membership, she is eligible for Snap Bidding and Continuous Open Bidding.

10. Any women signing a Membership Recruitment Acceptance Binding Agreement and receiving a bid at the end of the membership recruitment will be bound by the agreement for one calendar year at the same college.
